Ch. 13: Putting It All Together

  • Using the System — Maybe the best way to use this system is to create your ‘one belief’ using the formula from earlier and then briefly answer the 10 questions in a sentence of two. That should give you a nice starting outline that you can expand on. To recap, here are the 10 questions:
    • Question 1 — How is this different from everything else I’ve seen?
    • Question 2 — What’s in it for me?
    • Question 3 — How do I know this is real?
    • Question 4 — What’s holding me back?
    • Question 5 — Who/What is to blame?
    • Question 6 — Why now?
    • Question 7 — Why should I trust you?
    • Question 8 — How does it work?
    • Question 9 — How can I get started?
    • Question 10 — What do I have to lose?

4.  Sell the sizzle; not the steak

            not the product specs, not the process
            what the product or service will do for you 
                    will make your life easier, will make you stand apart

5.  Sell on emotion not logic

           People buy because of the things that will make you look rich
          Will remove 10kg in oe month
          will make you run 1 second faster

6.  Sellling is a system;   the "sell me this pen" trick does not work

7.    The system:

             1.  Find out who need your product or service
                  or when he will need your product

            2.  Establish rapport or commonality

            3.  Then sell the product

           Its like leading question which is prohibited in cross  examine

           "How do you like your stay at _________?"   The question precludes saying negative
           Would you buy considering that 60% of population has bought all ready memorial parks;   Those who bought buy more

      If you focus it will expand.   It you start using a word, the more you see it everyday.   If car is in your head the more you will see cars and the more they will come to you

      You will always over estimate your ability.  The truth is it is int.

       But sometimes we get complacent and then go to plateua.

        We get more involved when we invest time and labor in building a furniture

        Investment of time and effort create value;  Hence Ikea does not have much reject

       If you involve people in project, they will support

      We buy if the supply is limited.  

      But dont be rushed;   Check and  or at least sleep through it.  

     Scarcity creates value.  True for luxury cars and goods.  (They are reserved)
