Managerial and Business Development are nothing more than self improvement

To:    All

SUBJECT:    MANAGERIAL AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT  are nothing more than PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

Goals;    1.  To promote personal improvement and development
               2.  To grow the entire organization

Reality:   1.  Its not happening;   our services and sales are going down
                     park appearances are lousy, interments report are not forthcoming
                     and they stink

               2.  "God makes all things beautiful; in his time?'   Many MPs have
                  been surprised with spot checks and they do not appear well

                 Our expenses for maintenance:   FFE, salaries re staggering
                 and yet we have not maintained our standards

              3.  We must improve everyday.  Peter Drucker said that managerial
                development is nothing more than personal improvement.   Business
                 development does not involve hiring high falutin five number
                 business development assistants , but involved constant deisre
                 to be better than before personal improvement

              4.  A former supervisor who became EVP of large pharma emphasis that
                the biggest responsibility of an employee towards himself and his
                employer is TO IMPROVE HIMSELF

             5.  Peter Senge in his book 5th Discipline wrote that one of the 5 disciplines is "personal improvement"

             6.  One small improvement daily is 365 in a year, 3,650 in 10 years.  Quite
                an achievement

             7.  Such an organization cant be defeated and will be progressive

OPTIONS:

      1. Send employees to Graduate School of Business
      2.  Send to seminars
      3.  Encourage self improvement;  -  to be better than yesterday
      4.  Promote from within to those who improve themselves

 WTDN

  1.  We have handbooks and blogs.  Ask people to read them
  2.  Ask them to summarize and reward those in accordance with our guidelines
      40 summaries:   (contents:  what did i learn, relation to what I knew before
      how can I apply in my job} and promote.  Apply our HR Management policies

    Priests dont undergo seminars or other other studies (some do they take up masteral or doctorate) but most develop themselves through meditation and self renewal.  



Self-improvement is the process of making positive changes to enhance your quality of life, skills, character, or mindset. It involves a conscious effort to grow and can include activities like setting goals, developing new skills, and adopting healthy habits, all of which contribute to a more fulfilling and purposeful life. Common areas of focus include physical and mental well-being, career, and relationships. 

GROW memo

Goal
     1.  To promote clarity in communications;  ie to have everybody on same page
     2.  To be goal/result oriented;
     3.  To standardize memos and other communication

Background:
     1.  Communication is essential in an organization;   IT IS WINDOW TO THE
          REST OF THE ORGANIZATION AND THE MARKET PLACE
     2. If communication is stopped, the parts of organization becomes paralyzed
         (as if suffering from stroke)
     3. Many have poor habits in communication;
         1.  Do not read dm OR GMAIL
         2.  Do not reply to the same
         3.  Do not give feedback

Options:
      1.  Disregard
      2.  Continue our poor ineffective ways
      3.  Read and do something

WTDN

1.  Employ follow the standards of GROW memo:

     G OALS   -   OBJECTIVES;  what are the results expected;    IT COULD BE
                          a subgoal or primary goal   as sales and collection.   There 
                          are only two main goals:   sales and collection.  Others are
                          intermediate goals

    REALITY   -   what is the problem deviation at the sbu.  This allows us to
                         align with the reality background of the sbu:

                        1.  Mindset of people, actual behavior
                        2.  Competition -  pricing, activities
                        3.  Regulatory, legal environment
                        4.  Power, environmental conditions:   floods, soil, elevation
                        5.  Learnings related to the topic, quotes etc, 
                        6.  Past similar events

  OPTIONS  - What are other alternative courses of action.  There are many
                       ways to kill a cat.  What are the other ways.?   What other
                       ideas can be employed?  BRAINSTORM.  THINK

 WTDN        From among the options what is the best course.  Why did you                            choose  this?  Due to cost?   Convenience, tried and true, iyon
                    lang kaya ng budget tao?

                    Format:

                   1.  5W 1h
                        What, Who, When, Why  Where;   How to do this
                   2.  ITO  (input, Throughput, Output)

The goal is to complete the task and reach the main goal -  SALES AND COLLECTION

Valuable Lessons from the Scriptures and/or Holy Week

There are several  valuable lessons that we should have learned and be reminded of during this Holy Week so that we can be better as a person and as an employee businessman

1.  Parable of the sower
  
    On communications and teaching  Are you the good soil?


   Summary:   There is a parable of the sower and he sowed seeds:   some of them fell by the rocks, some at the thorns, and the others landed in good soil.   Those that 
                       landed in good soil grew and bore fruits.     What are you the good soil:    are you reading the mails and DM   Many do not.  How can our words bear 
                       fruits?  How can we understand the good things that your bosses want you to learn and develop and even earn more. The rist thing you must do is to
                       read your g mails in the morning.

2.  Miracles


     God makes all things beautiful in His time

     Jesus Christ performed a total 37 miracles during His ministry beginning with the conversion of water into wine, healing of the blind of the leper and many more
     We expect and long for miracles from the Lord but mostly we expect the Lord to be the miracle ATM or Ayuda king, ie  who will provide us cornucupia or endless
     supply of money.

     But it has been written that all that we eat shall come from the sweat of our brows.

    The late Nora Aunor in her camelo role in "Himala"  told us there is none.   Himala is in us;   in our hearts.   IN many things we do as humans, we create miracles:

    1,  Writing a memo or an excel;   or posting an obit.  They were none before but we created them.  It is a miracle
    2   A superb interment
    3.  A great landscaping
    4.  A tribute or an obit

    Doctors create miracles by their diagnosis and prescription.  Drugs from pharmacy cure pain and infection.  jThey are miracles.  
    Inventions and innovations are miracles

   A marketing plan that you did is a miracle

   What are the miracles are you planning to make tomorrow, this month, or for 2025?


3.   Multiplication of the loaf of bread and fishes


     Lessons:
     1.  It tells of the immense power of the Lord
     2.  The multiplier effect of generosity;
     3.  That we discover our gift, multiply this and use this for the service of others.  We must be blessing to others rather than just seeking blessing for ourselves
     4.  That we discover how we can multiply ourselves through delegation, coding, programming  (Millert) one time set up (Andrew Grove).  We cant do this alone
     5.  The power of recruitment and training.   We hire people like ourselves, we clone them and multiply

          Greatest wealth are made by those who can scale up and multiply themselves through software, universities, books, and discovering formulas
          that we focus on high value high impact activities that benefit mankind, not the petty little ones.  Do those that are high value personally, delegate oursource
          low value activities.  

4.   Jesus heals the Roman centurions servant


      Lessons learned:

     1.  The authority of Jesus  -  His power over sickness and health
     2.  Humility of the centurion.  He believed in the power and miracle of Jesus Christ
     3   Faith and obedience of Roman centurion.     He believed that as a Roman officer,his subordinates are bound to obey and respect him.  But he too respects
          and obeys the supreme authority and power of Jesus Christ.  He is unworthy that Jesus Christ should still go to his house to cure his servant.  All that is 
          needed is for Jesus Christ is to say the word and his servant shall be healed.  This is not a famous response in the Holy Eucharist part of the mass

      5.   Jesus heals a paralytic carried by friends through a roof


           Lessons:

          1   If there is a will there is a way.  Since the paralytic can not be brought near Jesus Christ, they brought him at the roof top and lowered him before the Lord
               It takes supreme effort to to that
         2.  We will do anything for our friends who are dear to us;
         3.  Importance of the team and unity 

        For our company, if we feel for the company and we are grateful, we will work hard and show our gratitude to lift the paralytic and make him walk again.

        We will not tolerate low sales collection, and ugly park and office abd equipment that do not work.   The head office staff shall likewise not neglect the SBUs 


      6.   This is the day that Lord has made;   come and rejoice  Psalm 118:24

            This is significant during Easter especially but even more so in our daily boring life.   Each day is unique and full of excitement for each one of us.  So we
            must greet each day with gratitude and excitement and joy.
