The principle of missing bottle by Paul Getter

Read and grow rich. Learn and earn

This is the thing that happens that you identify features with the product even if other features are missing and or minimize the logo type or logo.   Its the story that wraps the product that counts.

You can only do with product that have long story and strong brand

THE “MISSING BOTTLE PRINCIPLE”
How Pepsi Outsold Coca-Cola in 1975 Without Beating the Taste… Just the Expectations
In 1975, Pepsi did something wild.
They held a public challenge in malls, fairs, and grocery stores across America.
Two white cups.
Two unmarked samples.
No labels.
No branding.
People took a sip of each.
And to the shock of the crowd…
more people picked Pepsi.
This became the legendary Pepsi Challenge, one of the most successful marketing events of the 20th century.
But here’s the part most people don’t know:
When researchers removed the branding, Pepsi won.
When they added the bottle back, Coca-Cola dominated again.
Why?
Because the human brain doesn’t taste with the tongue.
It tastes with expectation.
Coca-Cola’s bottle shape.
Coca-Cola’s colors.
Coca-Cola’s history.
Coca-Cola’s emotional association.
All of that created a stronger story than the flavor.
And that story changed the experience.
Pepsi had the sweeter first sip.
Coke had the stronger identity.
The real lesson was never about taste.
It was about brand psychology.
This became known in marketing circles as The Missing Bottle Principle:
If people don’t know who made the product, they judge with their senses.
Once they know the brand, they judge with their beliefs.
💡 THE MARKETING LESSON
People don’t buy the product first.
They buy the story wrapped around it.
This is why:
Apple can release phones with fewer features and still win
Nike can outsell cheaper shoes
Starbucks can sell the same coffee for triple the price
Louis Vuitton can charge more simply through perception
Mercedes doesn’t sell engines…they sell identity
• Coca-Cola can lose taste tests and still dominate the market
Your brand determines how your product feels before the customer even tries it.
🧠 THE NERDY TAKEAWAY
The Missing Bottle Principle teaches this:
If your branding is strong, your product gets judged through loyalty.
If your branding is weak, your product gets judged through logic.
People are not logical buyers.
And emotions are shaped by:
• identity

Gods way is never in recession - planting and sowing continues

Read and grow rich. Learn and earn

We will never be in property as long as we stay with the rhythm of Gods way -  sowing seeds, planting and harvesting.

The question is

1.  What seeds do you have in your hand.
2.  Have you as a matter of fact sowed the seeds?

Also consider the parable of the sower.  Where are you planting your seeds:   the rock, the sandy soil or fertile soil

A Biblical Blueprint for Building a Business God Can Bless
There is a reason why some people hustle for years and stay stuck…
while others move with grace, favor, and acceleration.
It is not talent.
It is not connections.
It is not strategy.
It is alignment with a principle God established before the foundation of the world:
“As long as the earth remains, seedtime and harvest will not cease.”
Most people read that verse and think it is about farming.
But The Bible teaches something deeper:
⚡ Seedtime and harvest is the operating system of the Kingdom.
⚡ Everything you want begins as something you have.
⚡ Harvest doesn’t come FROM you …it comes THROUGH you.
Business is not about creating something out of nothing.
It’s about recognizing the seeds God already put in your hand
and multiplying them through stewardship.
🌱 1. The Seed Is Always Smaller Than the Harvest
Every great business begins as something small:
• A single idea
• A frustrating problem
• A conversation
• A skill
• A relationship
The seed never looks like the harvest.
David did not look like a king.
Moses did not look like a leader.
Your first event may not look like your future movement.
But God never asks you to start with the final version.
He simply asks:
➡️ What is in your hand?
➡️ What seed have I already given you?
The miracle is not in what you wish you had.
The miracle is in what you already have… multiplied.
🌧 2. God Gives Seed …You Decide What to Do With It
“God supplies seed to the sower…”
Not to the dreamer.
Not to the complainer.
Not even to the believer.
To the SOWER.
Meaning:
If God can get seed through you…
He will keep getting seed to you.
The reason some people feel stuck financially is because God is waiting for them to sow what He already gave.
You cannot pray for a harvest with your hands still in your pockets.
Business breakthroughs come when you move from:
❌ “Lord, bless me,”
to
✅ “Lord, use me.”
🌾 3. The Soil You Choose Determines the Harvest You Experience
Jesus said some seed falls on:
• good soil
• rocky soil
• shallow soil
• thorny soil
In business, the soil is the environment:
your relationships, your mentors, your habits, your investments.
Some people are sowing good seed…
in the wrong soil.
You can’t grow a Kingdom business in toxic partnerships.
You can’t reap abundance in an environment of small thinking.
You can’t multiply when your circle is built on fear instead of faith.
Choose soil that matches your assignment.
💧 4. Harvest Always Shows Up in a Different Season Than the Seed
This is where most entrepreneurs quit.
They sow in January.
They expect harvest in February.
And when nothing happens, they say:
“I guess this isn’t for me.”
But God works in seasons, not seconds.
The Bible says:
“Do not grow weary in well doing, for in due season you will reap.”
There is a due season for every seed.
Your job is faithfulness.
God’s job is multiplication.
🔥 5. Your Harvest Will Always Be in Proportion to Your Courage
Faith is not belief.
Faith is obedience with risk attached.
The size of your harvest is connected to the size of your faith.
Some people are praying for God to enlarge their territory,
but He is waiting for them to enlarge their action.
In Scripture and in business:
➡️ God does not bless comfort zones.
➡️ God blesses courage zones.
☕ FINAL WORD: The Seed Works When You Work the Seed
You don’t need:
• a better economy
• a better background
• a better network
• a better opportunity
You need to plant the seed you already have…
in the soil God called you to…
with the faith He gave you.
Then get ready.
Because when you understand Kingdom principles,
your business stops operating by the world’s economy
and starts operating by God’s economy.
And God’s economy is never in recession.

The power of silent productivity - Paul Getter

Read and grow rich. Learn and earn

Its just like silent water runs deep.  The more productive people run deep.  Just like the turbo powered cars.  They are powerful but are silent. They are the fish.   Then there are chicken that usually cackels and make noises    What type of worker are you or your workers?

THE POWER OF QUIET PRODUCTIVITY
At the end of the day, when the noise of work finally settles, we begin to notice something important.
The people who make the biggest difference are not always the loud ones.
Sometimes, real strength moves quietly.
I came across an analogy that stayed with me long after I read it.
There are “fish” in every workplace.
They move calmly beneath the surface.
They do not chase attention or recognition, yet their presence brings depth, clarity, and steady progress.
Their work may not be loud, but it lasts.
And then there are the “chickens.”
Full of energy, constantly moving, always seen.
Their efforts are visible, one small task at a time.
Useful, important, but different.
This made me think about how we measure value.
We often applaud the ones who speak the most, move the most, and stand in front.
But the quiet minds the thinkers, the planners, the ones who solve problems without noise often carry the real weight of an organization.
True productivity is not performance.
It is purpose.
It is consistency.
It is the quiet excellence that does not need applause.
Tonight, I want to acknowledge the silent pillars in every team the “fish” who keep everything moving with steady, thoughtful effort.
You may not always be seen, but your impact is felt in every corner.
Keep showing up with calm strength.
Your presence is shaping more than people realize.
